International Women’s Day Program 2021

Mark your calendars! New virtual event – March 4, 2021 – 5 PM to 6:30 PM
Supporting women in the legal professions and judiciary in the age of COVID-19

OVERVIEW

Statistics show that the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout have had a regressive effect on gender equality. The pandemic has disproportionately impacted female and racialized lawyers. Across the world, more women are facing increased domestic violence, unpaid care duties, unemployment and poverty. Women with children are more likely to leave the labour force than men.

Our speakers will share their unique experiences, challenges, success stories, and strategies to better accommodate and support women, with perspectives ranging from new called lawyers to the judiciary.
